UWIB x NY TechWeek: A Happy Hour to Remember

On Wednesday, June 10th, United Women in Business (UWIB) proudly hosted our first-ever event in partnership with NY TechWeek—a vibrant happy hour aimed at bringing together women from all industries, with a special focus on women in tech.

Held at the beloved Murray Hill staple, The Gem Saloon, the event drew an enthusiastic crowd ready to mix, mingle, and make new connections. Guests enjoyed an extended happy hour in a relaxed, welcoming setting. From entrepreneurs to engineers, marketers to product managers, the room buzzed with energy, ideas, and shared ambition.

Early attendees were treated to a surprise-and-delight moment—receiving a UWIB tote bag filled with a small gift, courtesy of one of our generous beauty brand sponsors. To spark conversation and make networking more intentional, guests selected a badge color that reflected their industry, giving everyone an easy conversation starter.

One of the highlights of the evening was a delicious spread of food that encouraged attendees to gather, chat, and share a meal together. The communal experience brought warmth and ease to the evening, turning casual conversations into meaningful connections.
