Recap: Local Happy Hours to Kick-off 2026!

We kicked off 2026 with connection!

Last week, we hosted our first UWIB events of the year: a New Year, New Connections Happy Hour in NYC and a Sip, Connect & Celebrate Happy Hour in DC. These events were such a powerful reminder of why community matters. As our VPs looked around the room in our respective cities, there wasn’t a single moment when someone felt alone, lost, or unsure of where they belonged. Conversations flowed, introductions happened naturally, and new connections were being made in real time. This is exactly what UWIB is all about!

A huge thank you to Lanie Williams from Lanie Williams Media for her support in capturing the evening in NYC and to DC UWIB member Sarah McIntosh of @SarahMapplePhoto for snapping pics there! These events set the tone for what’s ahead this year: more connection, more collaboration, and more spaces where women can show up as they are and support one another.
