Amanda Bailey’s career has spanned 30 years in human resources and over 2 decades in the education industry. Amanda Bailey has recently led human resources with a 100-member centralized team, and over 100 HR partners for more than 13,000 faculty and staff at Boston University as Vice President for Human Resources. Prior to Boston University, Amanda served as the Vice President of HR at Brown University and held previous roles of Associate Vice President of HR and Acting Chief of Staff at Morehouse College. Amanda served as the Chair-Elect to the Board of Directors for the College and University Professional Association for HR (CUPA-HR) and currently serves on several national and regional boards representing higher education and non-education industries: the Society for Higher Education HR Executives (SHEHRE), the American Research Universities’ HR Institute, the Northeast HR Association, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Harvard Business Review and Gartner’s CHRO Boston Community. Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University, a master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island, and has an additional professional certification in Labor Relations in education.
