


Ryan Billings, Executive Director of US Head of Dermatology Marketing & Access Strategy at Organon
Named to the 2024 MM+M 40 Under 40 and one of the “100 most inspiring people in healthcare” by PharmaVoice, Ryan has spent 19 years driving transformation in life sciences. With a blend of innovation, data-driven strategies, and outside-industry inspiration, he's led numerous ‘industry-first’ ventures throughout his career.
Ryan's passions lie in women’s health, LGBTQ+ health, and underrepresented populations, paired with reshaping organizational approaches, evolving how brands go-to-market, and reducing friction across customer and patient experiences.
As Organon's Executive Director, Head of US Dermatology Marketing & Access Strategy, Ryan is responsible for driving growth for Organon’s flagship Dermatology product, VTAMA, and commercializing future products. He previously serves as Organon’s Head of Commercial Innovation and US Established Brands, where he spearheaded modern marketing and propelled seamless brand strategies and novel commercialization approaches. He was also responsible for maintaining and driving growth across Organon’s diverse portfolio of 19 mature products in the US, with a P&L of over $320M annually.
Ryan's background spans pivotal roles at GSK, including senior Global Commercial and Customer Experience positions in the Oncology and HIV business units. His journey started in Digital Innovation and Social Media Strategy at Merck, followed by AstraZeneca, and AMAG Pharmaceuticals.
Ryan holds a BA in Public Relations & Advertising from Messiah University, an MS in Publication Management from Drexel University, an MBA from Northeastern University, and an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management from MIT. In the Fall of 2024 Ryan will begin as a part-time PhD Candidate in Leadership Studies at North Carolina A&T University.
Outside of his career, Ryan is active in and until recently served as Commissioner & League President of Stonewall Sports Raleigh, one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ non-profit sports organizations that fosters community across 14 sports leagues and raises money for local beneficiaries. Prior to being elected Commissioner, Ryan was an Executive Board member and Communications Director for Stonewall Raleigh for 2 years and has been a member of The Boston Gay Men’s chorus and the Philadelphia Gay Men’s chorus. Ryan was also on the Board of Trustees of the PYO Music Institute (formerly the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra). Ryan currently lives in Durham, NC with his husband, Elias, and their menagerie of pets.
